the road to honors

Grade Point Average
A+ 4.3
A 4.0
A- 3.7
B+ 3.3
B 3.0
B- 2.7
C+ 2.3
C 2.0
C- 1.7
D+ 1.3
D 1.0
F 0.0

My current GPA: 2.86
To graduate with honours,
Summa Cum Laude (with highest honours) 3.8+
Magna Cum Laude (with high honours) 3.6 - 3.79
Cum Laude (with honours) 3.4 - 3.59

Assuming I want to aim for Cum Laude (which is no use anyway)

Total modules I am taking if i double major = 37.
Subjects cleared so far = 19
Subjects saved for exchange = 6 (meaning, GPA not counted)
Total accountable subjects = 31.

Current GPA fraction: 19/31 * 2.86 = 1.7529
Cum Laude = 3.4
Remainder GPA fraction: 3.4 - 1.7529 = 1.6741
Remaining subjects accountable for GPA = 12
Therefore, to get a 3.4 GPA, I need to get:

1.6741 * 31/12 = 4.32

But this is impossible because I need to get A+ for every semster, every subject.

Just to get 2nd lower!

Test your emotional intelligence (EQ)
You scored 45% correct!
Remember you responses need to have been as honest as possible. If you feel that your score does not reflect you, please retake the test and answer each question in the way that best represents the way you typically feel.

Your score indicates that you have a below average EQ.
People that typically score in this range sometimes have trouble recognising and understanding their feelings. They are not always able to express their feelings in the most appropriate manner. They often have doubts and concerns about who they really are. They do not have much confidence in themselves and in their abilities. In most circumstances, they have a difficult time showing love, empathy and compassion for other people. In general, they are not comfortable with intimacy.

They also have trouble communicating with other people. They struggle with getting in tune with themselves and those around them. They may sometimes say the wrong thing at the wrong moment. They sometimes find it hard to show their anger or deal with anger directed at them. At times they are unable to stand up for themselves when hurt or they are handle confrontation inappropriately. They may have trouble admitting when they are wrong; and when they do make mistakes, they are often uncomfortable apologising to those they hurt.

People with below average EQ may also have low levels of self-worth. They do not like challenges or commitment and are afraid of change. They have a difficult time staying motivated and focused when they have set unattainable goals for themselves. They are fairly pessimistic about themselves and their future.

However, one great thing about emotional intelligence is that it’s fluid! A person can increase their EQ at any point of their life! People with below average EQ can start by learning how to identify their emotions and take responsibility for them. There are many resources to help. People with low EQ can read books about EQ and social skills, find out about anger management courses and communication skills courses, join a support group or see a counsellor. They can keep a diary of their emotions, and ask their friends to help them recognise the things about themselves that need correcting. If these things are done there is no doubt that they can increase their emotional intelligence and live a healthy, happy life.

Good movies aplenty!

Just a few months go I was whining about how the movies were terrible. Even if I had the money and wanted to watch something, there wasn't much.

And now, waaay cool! First there was a pretty okay LXG, then comes the very very very brilliant Pirates of the Carribean!

Depp rocks man! Orlando don't. I mean, he is boring boring Hero! That every other show has. Better off back as a cute blonde elf in LOTR.

I mean, look at this guy man! Ain't he so cute so cute? This rustic charm, out of the blue, different. Well, I sure don't get why people insist that they watch this show because of Orlando. C'mon!!

Anyway, did you know that all his eccentricity ain't what the director/ producer wanted but what he came up with himself? That he felt that the character "felt" that way.

I watched it twice, once with dardar and once with my sis. And I intend very much to buy the DVD too.

Rating: *****

Finally finished one project presentation. This is probably the longest in my life. It lasted from 9am all the way till 12. 3 hours neh, have you guys ever tried before?

Anyway, it has been donkey years since I have updated, but the most happening thing that has happened in my life is probably reading Harry Potter. Oh, yah, I managed to go for SMU new band practice. Well, it was pretty cool, quite fun, had the feeling of being back in a JC band and stuff. Managed to play some sound out, but tone and pitching drop like crap. :(

1 wise soul said, "If only playing the horn is like riding a bicycle, once you learn you never forgets......."

Yeah, how I wish. But anyway, I think I shall try to be more involved. Once again, another cool sounding pioneer (tho not exactly very impressive) CCA.

Pioneer member of bowling team, pioneer IVP team, now pioneer band members.

Oh I LOVE SMU.

MUahahahhahaha..
