My first week of school.

As usual first weeks are practically useless where professors will tell you their expectations of the class and what kind of projects to expect, weightage of projects and exams, the importance of class participation and the books to buy.

All which can be found in the Course Outline. What's the point of going?

Yet we do, to test waters, to see if the prof looks dark and dashing and friendly, or dark and smelly and boring. Whisper whisper, compare notes and change classes again.

And of course, there is the fight to getting the cheapest 2nd hand texbooks and selling off all the old ones, cursing and swearing at people who spoil market and at profs who change textbooks, making ours obsolete. And feeling happy that the 3 year old dustmite filled text is back in action again. Ah, such sweet pleasure in life.

Just for anyone's interest, here's the modules I'm most likely taking:

ACCT201 Corporate Reporting and Analysis of Financial Statements
FNCE201 Financial Instruments, Institutions and Markets
MGMT102 Strategy
SPAN201 Elementary Spanish I
SOCI203 Introduction to Antropology and Sociology; A Practical Approach
